Greetings, readers!

Summer is here, and with it brings a relaxed schedule (at least until I head to the Czech Republic for a year this August). So, with that in mind, I think the time is right to kick off a summer series for the blog.

Between now and July 20th, I’ll be doing what I’m calling the “New Wave Summer” here on No More Popcorn, in addition to occasional posts on new releases. You can check back here every Wednesday for posts. I’ll be alternating the focus each week between films from two different new wave cinema movements: French New Wave and, in anticipation of my big move later this summer, Czech New Wave.

I’m very excited to begin this exploration with all of you. I’m planning on watching and reviewing Milos Forman’s “Loves of a Blonde” this week, so anyone who’d like to follow along, now you know!

In other news: I wrote a review of “What Maisie Knew” for Movie Boozer last week. If you’d like to read it, here’s the link.
